“Somewhere between living and dreaming, there’s New York ”
The view from my room on the corner of bowery and Broome. I fell in love again. . . .
Word of the day: Zealot
I personally have heard this word a few times before reading it in six of crows BUT I am surprised by how many people ask ‘a what?’ when the word is used in conversation so here it is
A zealot is defined by the dictionary as a person who is fanatical and uncompromising in pursuit of their religious, political, or other ideals
For What it’s worth: it’s never too late, or in my case, too early to be whomever you want to be. There’s no time limit, stop whenever you want. You can change or stay the same, there are no rules to this thing. We can make the best or the worst of it. I hope you make the best of it. And I hope you see things that startle you. I hope you felt things you never had before. I hope you meet people with a different point of view. I hope you live a life you’re proud of. If you find that you’re not, I hope you have the strength to start all over again.
-F. Scott Fitzgerald, The curious case of Benjamin Button.
I’ve just returned from a trip to NY & the first thing I must tell you is that the pizza lives up to it’s hype. Just a regular pepperoni pizza will put any fancy California pizza to shame. The pizza here is so good my boyfriend and I decided to go on a pizza crawl. Yes, literally walking down the street we stepped into every pizza shop and had a slice for about half a mile. It was delicious & very filling so we only managed 3 shops.
A second thing to note is that there are coffee shops everywhere! and I only found 3 Starbucks cafes.
“I would give the greatest sunset in the world for one sight of New York’s skyline.”
This weeks fortune cookie is brought to you by wok express and reads:
It’s not the will to win but the will to prepare to win that makes a difference.
